We love exploring Pedernales Falls State Park, about an hour's drive from downtown. Follow the half-mile Twin Falls Nature Trail to a scenic overlook of the falls and then you can explore the rock formations. On your way back to Austin, stop at Pieous Pizza for wood-fired pizza and giant cookies. If you like sour beers and cool patio vibes, Jester King Brewery is just down the road from Pieous.
